Stop-Loss In The Military

Stop-Loss In The Military

Stop-loss is where the President of the United States has the right to reenlist any armed forces member back into service if the President has deemed that person essential to the national security of the United States. This policy was created back after Vietnam and prevents separation or retirement for 6 months. Men and women in service can be affected by Stop-loss in different ways; it can either halt them from being promoted or stop them from retiring/separating from the military.
